I graduated in early May. Since then, I've sent out around 100 resumes and applications for teaching positions, teacher's aide positions, tech writing positions, and several "reach" jobs that I might be qualified for. Out of those 100 resumes, I've gotten two interviews and no job offers.
While searching for a job, I've tried going by some rules to keep from going completely to seed. My success in sticking to them has been hit or miss.
And that's basically what I've been doing for the past two months. Tomorrow I may try to tweak my resume again, and several people have told me I should go to schools in person and hand-deliver my resumes to principals. This supposedly proves that I'm more dedicated to getting a teaching job. Somehow it proves it more than the four years I spent getting a education degree. Still, I guess I'll try it. At this point, I don't really know what else I can do.
